Question about CUPS

Hi, I am very new to Linux Mint. I keep getting error messages telling me I can’t print because the service is missing or something similar. I have been told it might be due to a CUPS update that Update Manager should have installed, but I just ran Update Manager, and I am still having the same issues.
I got my computer a few months ago from CP4U, in Bellingham, and the person I got the computer from said I could either bring the computer in and have a complete re-install of Linux Mint, or have a new version of Linux, called “Bluefin Linux”.
Does anyone have any familiarity with that?
Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

If you open whatever printer management application that Mint comes with, does it say anything about a service not running?

Can you post screenshots of your error messages or copies of errors? Those will always be super helpful when asking for help with any computer issues, and especially with Linux issues.

Are you comfortable on the terminal? Can you share the output of ps -ef | grep cups ?
