LFNW2024: Ready or not

LinuxFest Northwest (est. 2000), an annual Open Source event co-produced by Bellingham Linux Users Group, Information Technology department at BTC, and Jupiter Broadcasting. LFNW features presentations and exhibits on free and open source topics, as well as Linux distributions & applications, InfoSec, and privacy; something for everyone from the novice to the professional!

Quick on the heels of our wildly successful MiniFest this Fall, LinuxFest Northwest is proud to announce a full event: LinuxFest Northwest 2024 - April 26-28 2024!

Back in it’s original time slot, LFNW2024 is scheduled for the last weekend in April. Our partners at BTC are working around ongoing construction to once again provide educational space for lectures, hands-on labs, and co-located mini-events. Our ever-popular social events will take place at select venues throughout beautiful Bellingham, Washington, providing welcome experiences for our diverse audience.

Call for Sessions

LinuxFest Northwest is seeking presenters to share knowledge on open source projects, tools, hardware and culture. We welcome speakers of all experience levels, love to highlight local speakers, and will make every effort to accommodate speaker needs (including presenting remotely). We are currently opening three session types:

  • 30 minute lectures
  • 90-minute hands-on labs
  • Full-day workshops (or mini-events)

Our call for sessions is open now through January 2, 2024: LinuxFest Northwest 2024: Call for Speakers @ Sessionize.com

Call for Sponsors

LinuxFest is admission-free, and run exclusively by volunteers. We rely on sponsoring partners to support our event, and provide the opportunity to connect with a talented and diverse group of sysadmins, developers, designers, F/OSS leaders, and end users. We would like to thank our 2024 Gold & Silver sponsors who are carrying over from 2023: Alma Linux & Candela Technologies.

As always, we welcome community projects and organizations as well; this year we are providing poster space, and we encourage all our sponsors & supporters to submit session proposals as well.

Our call for sponsors is open now: LFNW2024 Sponsorship Prospectus
