An Overview of the ARM and RISC-V Assembly Instruction Sets

Presented by @smist08

We are interested in a LFNW risc-v group. I first started using Linux in 1998 and we had booths at LFNW since around 2003. It appears we will have a good selection of risc-v development boards around September 2021 and possibly even some risc-v computers. Thanks, Joel Carlson

Good to know, thanks for the feedback. Can you share more details of what you have in mind?

RISC-V is a new operating system so we are going back to the early days like we had in 2003 when we had about a dozen LUGS at LFNW. I use Linux Mint 20.1 XFCE which is based on Xubuntu and build Mint 20.1 XFCE computers for A+ Computers in Olympia. However we could adapt to any Ubuntu based risc-v development board or computer. :+1: Would you like a RISC-V category here, to discuss/plan in conjuction with future LFNW events?

Yes, Let’s do that. Joel
